Vintage Miniature Cloisonné Enamel Apple-Shaped Trinket Box

A charming miniature cloisonné enamel trinket box, beautifully decorated with intricate multicoloured floral and scrolling foliage designs against a vibrant cobalt-blue background.

Fashioned in the shape of a small apple, this delightful collectable features a gently curved metal stalk and a removable, snug-fitting lid.

The exterior is decorated with colourful enamel in shades of red, yellow, green, white and pink, with fine metal outlines separating the individual designs.

Both the lid and lower compartment have an attractive contrasting green enamel interior.

Believed to be of Chinese origin, probably dating to the mid-20th century, although the precise age and origin have not been established.
