Vintage Isle of Wight Studio Glass Perfume Bottle Iridescent Pink Gold Stopper

A beautiful vintage Isle of Wight Studio Glass perfume / scent bottle, retaining its original triangular “Isle of Wight Glass – Hand Made England” label.

The rounded bottle is formed in rich raspberry-purple glass with a wonderful iridescent surface displaying flashes of gold, blue, green and violet as the light moves across it. The textured decoration gives the glass considerable depth and makes this a particularly striking example.

It is finished with a substantial frosted spherical glass stopper, with a ground stem fitting into the neck of the bottle.

Believed to date from the 1970s, during the earlier period of Isle of Wight Studio Glass production.

A lovely piece of collectable British studio glass and an attractive decorative perfume bottle in its own right.
