Vintage Hand Painted Bone Perfume Bottle Scent Attar Bottle Applicator Stopper

Beautiful vintage hand-painted bone perfume or scent bottle, complete with its fitted stopper and long applicator.

The rectangular bone body is decorated by hand on both main faces with colourful miniature-style figural scenes. One side depicts a group of traditionally dressed figures, while the reverse features a mounted horseman. The narrow sides are decorated with delicate blue and red floral and foliate motifs.

The removable stopper is particularly attractive, with a tall finial decorated in coordinating blue and red detail. Attached beneath the stopper is a long slender applicator which extends down into the bottle.

The bottle has been constructed from sections of natural bone, with the joins and natural variations in the material visible on close inspection. These are part of its construction rather than damage.

A charming decorative vintage scent bottle with plenty of character and particularly attractive hand-painted detail.
