A striking vintage handmade art glass vase attributed to Star Glass UK, featuring an unusual flowing mosaic-style design in black with rich ruby-red accents against clear glass.

The vase has a beautifully shaped form with a broad rounded base, slender waisted neck and gently flared rim. The sweeping black lines and flashes of red continue around the vase, so the appearance changes depending on the viewing angle.

This vase was acquired alongside other similarly decorated Star Glass UK pieces, including an example retaining its original Star Glass UK Handmade label. This particular vase is not labelled or signed, so the Star Glass attribution is based on its association with those pieces and similarities in construction and decoration rather than a maker’s mark on this individual vase.
