Vintage Eagle Sculpture Bronze Effect Composite Bird of Prey Statue 32cm

Striking vintage eagle sculpture depicting a large bird of prey with wings fully outstretched, perched dramatically upon a textured rocky/tree-form base.

The sculpture has particularly attractive detailing throughout, including individually modelled wing and tail feathers, talons, facial features and the heavily textured naturalistic base.

Finished in a very dark bronze-effect colour with warmer brown highlights showing through in places, giving it the appearance of an aged bronze sculpture.

This is not solid bronze. It is made from a cast composite/resin-type material. A previously repaired area revealed the underlying material to be white.

A substantial and impressive display piece despite its relatively manageable size, particularly attractive viewed from the front where the wings create a dramatic silhouette.

Condition

Vintage condition with general surface wear and variations to the bronze-effect finish consistent with age and display.

There is a small repaired area to one of the feathers on the wing, which has been photographed closely. The repair remains visible on inspection but does not significantly detract from the overall appearance when displayed.
