Vintage Faux Tortoiseshell Dressing Table Vanity Set Boxed Mirror Brushes Comb

Beautiful vintage English dressing table vanity set presented in its original fitted case.

The set has a rich faux tortoiseshell effect in warm amber and dark brown tones and includes a selection of matching grooming accessories, including a bevelled hand mirror, hair brushes and comb.

The pieces are housed within a fitted satin-lined presentation case with individual compartments. The exterior has an attractive textured brown finish with twin metal clasps.

The hand mirror is marked Made in England.

A particularly decorative vintage set which would look wonderful displayed on a dressing table and would also appeal to collectors of vintage vanity and grooming accessories.

Please note that this set is not being sold as genuine tortoiseshell.

Believed to date from approximately the 1940s–1950s.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall with age-related wear consistent with use and storage.

The faux tortoiseshell-effect pieces have some light surface marks and scratches, and the brush bristles show expected signs of age and use.

Please note that the satin retaining strap/ribbon inside the case, designed to secure the hand mirror, is damaged/detached. The mirror itself remains present and displays well.

The fitted case and satin lining also show some general age-related wear.
