Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Vase with Wooden Stand

A striking vintage Chinese cloisonné vase decorated with colourful chrysanthemums, flowers and flying birds against an unusually rich black enamel ground.

The black ground is particularly attractive, being filled throughout with very fine gilt wire cloud-scroll motifs. The floral decoration is worked in shades of pink, white, yellow and turquoise green, with a traditional turquoise enamel interior and base.

The vase has a beautifully rounded bulbous body rising to a long slender neck, finished with a decorative turquoise and yellow border around the rim.

It comes with its carved wooden display stand, which complements the vase beautifully.
