Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Trinket Box

A charming small vintage Chinese cloisonné lidded box, beautifully decorated with a pink and white peony surrounded by green foliage against a deep black enamel ground.

Fine gold-coloured wirework forms the floral design and scrolling decoration, while the interior and underside are finished in the traditional vibrant turquoise blue enamel.

A particularly attractive little example of Chinese cloisonné, ideal for a collection, jewellery display or as a decorative trinket or keepsake box.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with minor signs of age and previous use. There are some small marks/spotting to the enamel consistent with its age. The underside has a lighter rectangular area which appears to be from a previous label. Please study all photographs as these form an important part of the condition description.
