Vintage Murano Glass Jug Italian Art Glass Aqua Blue Applied Handle Label

Beautiful vintage Murano art glass jug, handmade in Italy and retaining its original red and gold “Made in Murano Italy” label to the base.

The jug has a wonderfully characterful hand-blown form, with a rounded pale aqua / sea-green body containing numerous tiny bubbles and inclusions within the glass.

A contrasting translucent blue glass trail winds around the neck, continuing into the applied loop handle with a decorative lower attachment. The wide flared rim gives the piece a particularly attractive sculptural profile.

The bubbles, tiny specks, colour variations and irregularities visible within the glass are consistent with its handmade manufacture and give each angle slightly different character.
