Vintage Venetian Style Filigrana Glass Vase Purple Spiral Ribbon Art Glass 12cm

A striking vintage hand-blown art glass vase or decorative bottle featuring fine purple/amethyst spiral ribbon decoration encased within clear glass.

The vase has an unusual squared body with softly rounded shoulders leading to a narrow cylindrical neck. The fine purple glass threads spiral continuously around the body and twist beautifully through the shoulders and neck, creating a particularly effective optical pattern when viewed from different angles.

The construction is consistent with traditional Venetian-style filigrana or ribbon-thread glass techniques. The base provides a particularly good view of the spiral construction, with the coloured threads sweeping towards the centre.

This piece is unsigned and has no surviving label, so I have described it as Venetian-style rather than making a firm Murano attribution.
