Vintage Russian Lacquer Miniature Box Hand Painted Church Architectural Scene

A charming miniature vintage Russian lacquer trinket box featuring a colourful hand-painted architectural scene against a traditional black ground.

The tiny scene depicts Russian-style buildings with onion-domed towers, picked out in cream, red and green, with delicate gold-coloured decorative detailing surrounding the image.

The box has an attractive curved-sided form with a hinged lid and a contrasting rich red lacquered interior.

A lovely diminutive example, measuring just 4cm long, making it particularly appealing as a small display collectible, keepsake box or addition to a collection of Russian decorative art.
