Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Owl Figurine Enamel Brass Floral Bird Ornament 8.5cm

A charming vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel owl, beautifully decorated with colourful floral and feather motifs.

The owl has a particularly appealing design, with large expressive eyes, a rich brown enamelled head and contrasting white, deep blue, pink, red and green enamels. Fine gold-tone metal wires form the outlines of the feathers, flowers and other decorative details.

The reverse is also fully decorated, with an attractive stylised feather pattern, making this a lovely display piece from every angle.

The owl sits on a fitted dark wooden pedestal stand, which complements the rich colours of the enamel beautifully.

I believe this to be a later 20th-century Chinese piece, probably dating from approximately the 1970s-1990s. It is unmarked, so I have deliberately avoided giving it a more precise date.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition overall. There are minor signs of age and use consistent with a pre-owned vintage piece. The underside has two original openings associated with its construction. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
