Ercole Moretti Murano Glass Tree Dish Murrine Millefiori Signed M Cane Italy 15cm

A beautiful and particularly striking Ercole Moretti Murano art glass dish, featuring a stylised tree created from individually patterned millefiori murrine.

Measuring approximately 15 cm × 15 cm, this is a substantial example compared with many of the smaller Moretti dishes commonly encountered. The larger square format gives the wonderfully colourful tree design real presence.

The tree canopy is formed from numerous individual millefiori canes in vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow, blue, green, white and black. These sit against a dramatic translucent ruby-red glass ground, enriched with finely speckled gold and yellow decoration. A warm brown glass trunk completes the composition.

The dish retains its original “Murano Glass – Arte in Vetro” label and, importantly, incorporates the distinctive Ercole Moretti “M” signature murrina in the lower corner.

The reverse reveals the fused construction beautifully, with the millefiori tree appearing in darker relief through the rich red glass.
