A charming vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel bird figurine, probably dating from around the 1970s–1980s.
This delightful miniature waterfowl figure is beautifully decorated with colourful cloisonné enamel, with individually outlined feather detailing in rich red, cobalt blue, green, yellow, white, black and soft purple tones.
The bird stands on two separately formed brass legs with wonderfully detailed webbed feet, while the brass wirework throughout the body creates the intricate feather and floral patterns characteristic of traditional Chinese cloisonné work.
The back is particularly attractive, featuring a colourful floral motif surrounded by finely worked enamel feathers.
A lovely small decorative piece with plenty of character, ideal for a collection of Chinese cloisonné, miniature animals, birds or Asian decorative arts.
