Vintage Russian Cobalt Blue Glass Decorative Egg – Fabergé Inspired

A striking small vintage Russian decorative egg made from rich cobalt blue glass and decorated with intricate metallic-effect detailing.

The egg features a series of detailed panels, including a Russian church or chapel surrounded by trees, together with an heraldic-style composition incorporating a crown, crossed weapons and a laurel wreath. Geometric panels separate the principal scenes.

The underside retains its original Russian paper label, which reads:

“Изготовлено по мотивам К. Фаберже. С. Петербургъ. Россия”

This indicates that the piece was produced in Russia in the style of, or inspired by, the work of Carl Fabergé in St Petersburg.

Please note that this is not being represented as an original House of Fabergé piece. It is a later Russian decorative piece inspired by Fabergé designs.

The deep cobalt glass is particularly attractive when illuminated, bringing the engraved decoration into sharp relief.
