Vintage Isle of Wight Studio Glass Miniature Bird

A beautiful miniature handmade art glass bird by the renowned Isle of Wight Studio Glass, retaining its original gold foil “Isle of Wight Glass – The Original!” label to the base.

This charming little bird has a rich turquoise blue body with darker smoky tones and striking metallic silver and gold-toned decoration. The surface catches the light beautifully, giving the piece an almost shimmering, iridescent appearance.

The bird has been individually formed with a tiny pulled beak, rounded body and raised tail, making it a lovely example of British studio glass in miniature.

The original “The Original!” foil label helps place the piece within the later 20th-century production of Isle of Wight Glass.
