Vintage Maestri Vetrai Italian Art Glass Decanter / Decorative Bottle with Heart Stopper

A striking vintage Italian art glass bottle or decanter, retaining its original Maestri Vetrai foil label.

The substantial square-bodied bottle has a wonderfully rich amber-gold ground decorated with flowing dark brown markings, creating an attractive tortoiseshell or animal-print effect. The decoration continues upwards towards the tall flared neck.

The highlight is the removable glass stopper, beautifully formed into an open heart shape with swirling amber, brown and creamy tones running through the glass.

A particularly decorative piece that catches the light beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to a collection of vintage Italian art glass, or simply an unusual statement piece for display.
