A beautiful antique Chinese cloisonné enamel vase, dating to approximately the early 20th century.

The vase features an unusual warm yellow ground decorated with an intricate geometric key-fret pattern, overlaid with colourful flowering branches and foliage. Rich turquoise, blue, green, pink and deep red enamels are separated by fine metal cloisons.

The neck is particularly attractive, with alternating blue and green pendant-shaped enamel decoration, while the raised foot is also decorated in cloisonné.

A wonderfully decorative smaller vase with plenty of character and genuine signs of age.

Approximate date: c.1900-1930
Origin: China

A lovely piece for a collection of antique Chinese cloisonné, Asian decorative arts or simply as a striking display vase.
