Vintage Tibetan Snuff Bottle Necklace Turquoise Coral Style Gau Amulet Pendant

A wonderfully unusual vintage Tibetan / Himalayan style snuff bottle necklace, richly decorated with turquoise blue and coral red coloured beadwork.

This substantial heart-shaped bottle is decorated to both sides with raised metalwork and numerous colourful cabochons/beads, giving it a wonderfully ornate and characterful appearance.

The most interesting feature is the removable decorative stopper. When lifted, this reveals a long slender dipper attached beneath, confirming that this is more than a conventional pendant and was designed as a small wearable bottle or container.

The stopper itself is also beautifully decorated with alternating turquoise blue and coral red details.

Suspended from a long metal chain, the bottle makes a striking piece of ethnic or tribal-style jewellery and would also make an unusual addition to a collection of snuff bottles, scent bottles or Himalayan decorative objects.

Vintage condition with visible patina, tarnishing, surface wear and age-related marks throughout. There appears to be some variation/loss to the small decorative elements, all contributing to the character of the piece. The metal and coloured decorative elements have not been professionally tested, therefore I am making no claim that the metal is silver or that the blue/red elements are natural turquoise or coral.
