Vintage Venetian Art Glass Pendant Necklace Carfi Venezia Italy Blue Foil Glass

Beautiful vintage Venetian art glass pendant necklace, accompanied by its original Carfi Venezia paper bag, bearing a “Made in Italy” label.

The rectangular glass pendant has a striking two-sided design. One face is a rich deep cobalt blue, while the reverse reveals a wonderfully decorative composition of shimmering silver-toned foil with aqua, turquoise, lime green, blue and warm metallic inclusions suspended within the glass.

The colours and reflective elements change considerably according to the light, giving the pendant a particularly attractive jewel-like appearance.

The pendant is fitted with silver-plated metal fittings and supplied on a 47 cm silver-plated chain.

Pendant: approximately 4 cm × 1.2 cm
Chain: approximately 47 cm long

Condition:
Good vintage condition with minor signs of previous use. Please study the photographs carefully as these form an important part of the description.

The pendant is accompanied by the Carfi Venezia paper bag in which it came, retaining its Made in Italy label. The bag shows age and storage wear.

A particularly attractive piece of Italian Venetian glass jewellery, with its dramatic cobalt-blue face concealing a wonderfully colourful foil and glass composition on the reverse.

Please note: The Carfi Venezia label provides an Italian/Venetian association, but I have not found sufficient evidence to attribute the pendant to a particular Murano furnace. It is therefore described conservatively as Venetian/Italian art glass.
