Vintage Murano Glass Bowl Blue Turquoise Aventurine Swirl Italian Art Glass

A beautiful vintage Murano art glass bowl, made in Italy and retaining its original gold foil Murano Made in Italy label.

This striking little piece features a wonderful swirling design of deep cobalt blue and turquoise glass, interspersed with shimmering metallic aventurine bands. The colours spiral dramatically towards the centre, creating a particularly effective optical design.

The bowl has been hand formed into an attractive freeform three-sided or tricorn shape, with gently raised edges. Despite its relatively small dimensions, it has considerable presence and catches the light beautifully.

A lovely example of vintage Venetian decorative glass, probably dating from around the 1960s–1970s. The original label confirms its Murano origin, although I have not attributed it to a specific glassworks or designer.

It would make a wonderful addition to a collection of Murano, Venetian or mid-century art glass and is equally attractive simply displayed as a decorative object.
