Vintage Venetian Art Glass Photo Frame Blue Millefiori Murrine Fused Glass 16cm

A beautiful vintage art glass photo frame featuring translucent turquoise blue and soft periwinkle glass, decorated with delicate pink and white millefiori flower murrine.

The frame has been constructed from overlapping sections of coloured glass, with the tiny flower canes fused into the glass itself. The contrasting blue tones and scattered floral details give it a wonderfully distinctive Venetian appearance.

The design and construction are characteristic of Venetian / Murano-style fused glasswork. The frame is unmarked, so I have not attributed it to a particular Murano maker.

A lovely decorative piece that would work particularly well on a dressing table, bedside table or display cabinet, and an attractive gift for someone who collects Venetian or Italian art glass.

Measurements:
Approximately 16 cm × 12 cm
Glass approximately 0.5 cm thick

The frame has a clear freestanding support to the reverse.

Condition:
Good pre-owned condition with minor signs of age and use. There are small bubbles and irregularities within the coloured glass which are consistent with its handmade construction. Please examine the photographs carefully as these form an important part of the description.

No original label, box or certificate is present.
