Vintage Murano Style Millefiori Glass Necklace Green Foil Donut Pendant Venetian

A striking vintage-style Venetian art glass necklace featuring a large round doughnut pendant with colourful millefiori floral decoration and shimmering metallic foil.

The pendant has a wonderfully decorative front, combining red, white, blue and multicoloured millefiori flower canes with areas of copper and silver-toned foil beneath clear glass. The reverse is particularly beautiful, glowing an intense emerald green with a textured metallic foil effect.

The pendant is suspended from a coordinated multi-strand green necklace decorated with translucent green chip beads and faceted glass beads.

A wonderfully individual piece of art glass jewellery, with the large circular pendant making an eye-catching statement when worn.

I have not found a maker’s mark or accompanying certificate, so although the glass uses techniques strongly associated with Venetian and Murano glass jewellery, it is described as Murano style rather than attributed to a specific Murano maker.
