LoCo Glass Vase Colin & Louise Hawkins Signed 2007 British Studio Art Glass

A beautiful signed British studio art glass vase by LoCo Glass, the collaborative glass studio of artists Colin and Louise Hawkins.

Dating to 2007, this substantial hand-blown vase has a wonderfully organic asymmetric form in thick clear glass, decorated throughout with scattered coloured circular and ring-shaped inclusions in rich shades of burgundy, teal blue, olive, amber and smoky grey.

The coloured motifs appear suspended within the clear glass, creating an ever-changing composition as the vase is viewed from different angles. The softly irregular rim and gently asymmetric body retain the character and individuality of a genuinely handmade studio glass piece.

Colin and Louise Hawkins established their collaborative LoCo Glass practice in 1998. Working from their studio in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, they have become established names in contemporary British studio glass, producing both studio ranges and individual creative pieces.
