Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Cabinet Vase

A beautiful vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel vase dating to approximately the first half of the 20th century (circa 1925-1950). This elegant cabinet vase features an unusual rich aubergine-purple ground decorated with delicate hand-laid brass cloisonné wirework enclosing stylised floral motifs in shades of crimson, lavender and violet.

The vase is finished with a gilt brass rolled rim and matching foot, while the base retains its attractive turquoise enamel, a characteristic feature of Chinese cloisonné of this period.

Its refined proportions make it an excellent display piece for a cabinet, bookshelf or mantelpiece and it would complement both traditional and contemporary interiors.
