This example is individually numbered No. 67, making it an early production piece from the edition. It comes complete with its original presentation box, matching numbered certificate, and the original Royal Crown Derby gold stopper.

The base carries the Hugh Gibson facsimile signature, matching the signature on the accompanying certificate. Hugh Gibson was Chief Executive of Royal Crown Derby at the time, and his signature was used on the company’s limited edition paperweights as a mark of authenticity.

Handcrafted in English fine bone china and beautifully decorated with vibrant greens, blues and hand-applied 22-carat gold detailing, the Toad is one of Royal Crown Derby’s most distinctive and sought-after paperweights. The exceptionally low edition number, together with the original box and certificate, makes this a particularly desirable example for collectors.
