What makes this example particularly interesting is the inclusion of an authentic Ercole Moretti ‘M’ signature murrina cane, visible within the design. Ercole Moretti is one of Murano’s most respected glassmaking families, renowned for producing some of the finest millefiori canes in Venice. The presence of the signature cane reflects the collaborative nature of Murano glassmaking, where specialist workshops often incorporated canes supplied by master murrine producers.
