Signed Russian Lacquer Box: Winter Village Scene, Mother of Pearl Miniature Art

Beautiful hand-painted Russian lacquer box featuring a peaceful winter village landscape painted over a shimmering mother-of-pearl background.

The scene depicts a snow-covered log cabin surrounded by frosted trees, evergreens and a traditional church beneath a glowing winter sky. The iridescent mother-of-pearl ground creates a wonderful luminous effect that changes as the light moves across the surface.

The box is signed by the artist and displays the fine brushwork and atmospheric detail associated with traditional Russian miniature painting.
