Moorcroft Foxglove Jug Vase by Rachel Bishop (2002) | Hand Painted Art Pottery | Boxed English Floral Vase | Collectors Moorcroft Gift

A beautiful hand-decorated Moorcroft pottery jug vase featuring a vibrant Foxglove design, created and signed by renowned Moorcroft artist Rachel Bishop in 2002.

This elegant piece showcases cascading foxglove blooms in rich shades of pink and crimson against Moorcroft’s classic cream ground, complemented by a striking deep cobalt blue interior glaze. The decoration wraps around the body of the vessel, creating an impressive display from every angle.

The sculptural jug form, with its flowing integrated handle and gently flared rim, gives the piece a graceful Arts & Crafts inspired appearance while retaining the unmistakable quality and craftsmanship for which Moorcroft is celebrated worldwide.

The base carries the Moorcroft backstamp together with Rachel Bishop’s painted signature and date marks. The vase is accompanied by its original Moorcroft presentation box.

As is often encountered with hand-crafted Moorcroft pottery, the vase exhibits some light age-related crazing around the handle area, which has been fully photographed for transparency.

Perfect for collectors of Moorcroft pottery, British art pottery, floral ceramics, and quality English decorative arts.

Condition

Very good vintage condition overall.

The piece displays beautifully with no obvious chips, cracks, repairs, or restoration observed. The colours remain vibrant and the glaze retains an attractive gloss throughout.

There is some minor superficial crazing/stress crazing visible in the glaze around the handle attachment area, as shown in the photographs. This appears stable and cosmetic in nature and does not detract from the overall presentation or display quality of the piece.

The original Moorcroft presentation box is included.

Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
