A beautiful and unusually detailed Japanese cloisonné enamel miniature vase, dating to the early 20th century and richly decorated with floral and butterfly panels in vibrant enamels.
This elegant cabinet-sized piece features intricate hand-laid wirework throughout, with shimmering aventurine enamel grounds that sparkle beautifully in natural light. The decoration includes butterflies, scrolling floral motifs, stylised blooms, and geometric panel work, all framed by ornate gilt metal mounts.
The pierced gallery rim and decorative tripod feet give the piece a refined jewel-like appearance, elevating it beyond standard export cloisonné. The interior is finished in a striking turquoise blue enamel.
An especially decorative and atmospheric piece that works wonderfully in maximalist, Japonisme, antique, or cabinet-of-curiosities interiors.
✨ The aventurine enamel catches the light beautifully and gives the vase remarkable depth and warmth in person.
