Vintage Russian Lacquer Trinket Box Hand Painted Folk Couple Scene Miniature Ring Box

Charming vintage Russian lacquer-style trinket box featuring a beautifully hand-painted folk art scene of a romantic couple beneath autumn trees.

The box is finished in traditional glossy black lacquer with delicate gold scroll border decoration and a vivid red lined interior, giving it the classic theatrical appearance associated with Russian miniature lacquer work.

A lovely decorative display piece ideal for storing rings, small jewellery, keepsakes, or simply displaying as part of a cabinet of curiosities collection.

The hand-painted scene has wonderful warmth and character with bright traditional costume colours standing out beautifully against the deep black background.
