Bronze Hunter & Dog Sculpture After Pierre Jules Mêne French Animalier Figure

Beautiful bronze hunting sculpture in the manner of Pierre-Jules Mêne, depicting a finely detailed sporting scene with hunter and dog.

The piece has a strong traditional French animalier aesthetic, with good surface detail, natural movement, and an attractive aged bronze patina that displays particularly well under warm lighting. The composition captures the classic 19th century sporting bronze style associated with P.J. Mêne’s highly collected animal sculptures.

This example appears to be a later genuine bronze casting rather than a cold cast resin piece, with pleasing weight, texture, and finish throughout, mounted on a polished marble base.

A highly decorative statement sculpture ideal for:
• Country house interiors
• Library or study décor
• Dark academia styling
• Traditional sporting collections
• Bronze and animalier displays

The bronze displays beautifully from multiple angles and works especially well on dark wood furniture, bookshelves, or cabinet displays.
